Hey All,
I'm gonna keep this short, not a strong internet connection and its late so I don't feel like typing alot.
We got the month he'll deploy. Its a :) and a :( kinda moment. After some drama its nice to know we won't be getting screwed over in a few weeks and we will be okay. We are happy we know the month, but we are sad because its soon....
BUT this deployment won't be too hard. Why you might ask? Well because I am going to be pretty busy myself, I have decided to join the Army. To clarify some questions: NO jeff didn't force me to join or anything, I am joing because I WANT TO- its something I've wanted to do for a couple years, it will definately give me something to do while he's deployed- Basic training and AIT will keep me busy for atleast 6months but i'm figuring more than that probably.
YES- its not going to be easy but it will help I'll be busy doing training so I won't have a ton of time to focus on him being gone.
Most of you heard about my car wreck. It occured on June 16th, 2007. We don't know exactly what happened. We are pretty sure I blacked out and the only thing I remember is hearing loud noises and realized what was going on and was able to get the car back on the road before going down a hill and probably flipping the car. I took out some guard rails on the highway. i was the only car involved *thankgod* and i did a pretty number on the car- its totalled. I am okay. No serious injuries. My back bothered me for a few days- its much better now still hurts a little if i sit for a long time or stretch my back wrong.
I got a job on post through AAFES at Charley's Steakery. Its not a bad job- never worked fast food before but its a job.
Well other than that things are going good. I've already wrote more than I planned.
Another update will follow in a week or two- I'll keep ya'll posted on my process of Joining the Army and all that.
*hugs*

Settling into married life...
Well Jeff and I are now living together in our apartment up in Clayton, NY. Things have settled down a bit but we are still definitely adjusting to living together. We do have our arguments, as we both predicted we'd have adjusting to one another, but in time the stupid and small arguments will come to a lesser number as we get used to each other's habits of living.
Clayton is a nice town, small but nice. The river *St. Lawrence* is beautiful from what I’ve seen of it so far. We're hoping to take the 1000 Islands boat tour in July to see more of the river and 1000 Islands area.
My parents came up the first weekend of June and brought the rest of my things and my furbaby Titan. I missed him while he was still in IN. He's adjusted fairly well, loves to bark whenever we leave the apartment. It was nice to see my parents for the few hours they were here, of course there was a lack of talking as usual and when it came to goodbyes i was a little sad to see them go, i was more upset at the lack of a goodbye from my father. Oh well, i am use to it but still it hurt a bit.
I have made a few friends already, I spend most of my days over at Kayla and Justin's hanging with Kayla while our husbands are at work. Then there's Dave and Laura who luckily got housing just down from us here in Clayton, and then there's Megan and Seth, Shawna and Elmer, and Vanessa and her husband who live just down the street from us as well, but i haven't actually met Vanessa yet she was out of town up till the other day, but I’ll meet her soon enough.
Ft. Drum isn't as bad as i thought it would be, wait, I’m not holding my breathe over that statement until after this first winter here. Some say the winters are bad, others say not so bad, but I'm sure it'll be bad if in one night they can accumulate 4ft. of snow! But I do look forward to the winter months b/c of Snowboarding, I can't wait to continue to learn the sport and get better at it.
OH! I almost forgot to mention, although some of you already know, I did get a job! Its through AAFES *army and air force exchange services* at a little fast food place called Charley's. I started this past Friday, and worked Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It pays $7.51/hr which is better than what i was making at the daycare. There's no set hours, I’m considered Intramentent (i think that’s right) but I’ve already banked almost 20hrs, and i have new hire orientation classes wed and thurs this week which i get paid for, so I’ll have almost 33hrs by the end of the day Thursday. Don't know when i work at Charley's again, possibly Friday or sometime of the weekend b/c they just started opening on the weekends and we were swamped this past weekend with 2ppl working *thanks to the guard or reserves being there* I like the job, but at the same time I’ve never worked in fast food and i don't love it, but its a job and a paycheck. I'm keeping my eyes open for a fulltime job though since I'm not guaranteed a set number of hours.
What else? I feel like I’m leaving something out but i can't seem to think of what it is. Oh well for now. I'll update if I remember, or in a couple weeks I’ll post another update for you all.
*hugs*
